Hey everyone! I am sorry I dont ever post on here but I promise I will get better at it! I have loved working with your girls these past couple of months, they are all so fabulous in their own ways, they are just so fun to be around! I have cancelled practice for this upcoming week because I will be out of town, so starting the week of October 20th, practice will be held three times a week in stead of two. (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) That way we can start working on our competition routine. If you have a problem getting your child to practice on Tuesdays contact another mom or me so we can figure out a car pool, because these practices are MANDATORY and I need every girl there!! These past few weeks have been pretty hectic for me so hopefully they start slowing down a little bit, becuase I would really like to do a fundraiser this month or next so the girls can get new uniforms for competition. If any of you have any ideas for fundraisers feel free to shoot me a text or call me or you can even send me an e-mail. My e-mail is martashl@isu.edu. I am getting really excited for these next few months and I know the girls are too! Please let me know if you have questions, I would love to answer them for you!
THANK YOU!
Ashley

Hello!
Hello everyone! My name is Ashley Martin and I will be the new head coach for the 2014-2015 cheer season, and I could not be more excited! I have had seven years of cheerleading experience and I absolutely love it. I cannot wait to share my love and knowledge for the sport with the girls. I look forward to getting to know all of you. I am currently attending Idaho State University so my schedule is a little bit different than what Emily had planned. I know that she had practice scheduled for Monday from 9-11 but I have class during that time. I do think that the girls still need to have a practice time on Monday before there performance on the first day of school. Practice will now be held from 4-6 on Monday evening and I will be holding a parent meeting at 6 pm that ALL parents need to attend. I just have a few things that I would like to go over with all of you and if you have any questions for me that would be a perfect time to ask them! I will send out a text to all of the girls and to the moms for another little reminder. Again, I look forward to working with the girls and can't wait for the season to start!

Dear Cheerleaders and
Parents,
As most of you know, I will be leaving Franklin to coach at
Idaho State this year. A new coach has
yet to be hired, so I will be supervising cheer camp next week. Cheer camp is an excellent opportunity to
grow closer as a team while we learn new choreography, perfect our cheerleading
skills, and prepare for our first of the year assembly. It will be a demanding three days and I hope
everyone come with positive attitudes and are ready to work hard.
The following is the schedule for next week.
Monday
9:00am-2:00pm (Private Cheer Camp)
Bring a sack lunch and a water bottle
Wear: black mesh
shorts, white shirt, hair high ponytail – super curly, black polka dot bow,
black bloomers, game shoes, and remember to bring both sets of poms. NO JEWELRY OR GUM.
Tuesday
9:00am-2:00pm (Private Cheer Camp)
Bring a sack lunch and a water bottle
Wear: blue/black
shorts, grey panther proud shirt, hair high ponytail – super curly, big blue
bow, black bloomers, games shoes, and remember to bring both sets of poms. NO
JEWELRY OR GUM.
Wednesday
1:00-4:00 (Private Stunt Clinic)
Bring a water bottle
Wear: white
shorts, black shirt, hair high ponytail – straight, big white bow, blue
bloomers, games shoes. NO JEWELRY OR

Please sign it and return to camp on Monday. Anyone who fails to return the waiver will
not be permitted to participate. Thanks

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
You will find the summer conditioning sheet for the next week and half by clicking here. Print it out and hang in a place you will see it daily. Please be self-motivated in doing these on your own time at least once a day. If you notice you are really struggling during our conditioning time at practice, you should try to fit conditioning in every morning and night. These exercises should not take any longer than ten minutes. Totally doable.
I would love for everyone to purchase a set of kinetic bands, which can be purchased here. Two years ago, nearly everyone on my team purchased a set and our jumps improved SO much faster. They cost $30, but they can really help your flexibility and jump skills get to where you want them to be. If you don't want to purchase the bands and have ankle weights at home, please bring them to practice because we are going to start using them.
Many of the girls have expressed that they would like to take a summer tumbling class as a team. I am looking into it and will get information out to all of you as soon as I have it. Also, just a heads up... we will be kicking off our first fundraiser next week, which I'm hoping will give us enough to purchase two more stunt mats. So, get excited and get ready!
