Homecoming Parade

Nice job at Extravaganza tonight, girls! Enjoy your day off from school tomorrow.  Don't forget about the ISU homecoming parade on Saturday.  We will meet at 9:00am on the corner of 2nd and Whitman (behind Albertsons).  Please be ON TIME!  At 9:05, we will enter the parade route together.  If you are not there at that time, we will leave you!!!

Uniform assignment for the parade HAS CHANGED.  Please take notice:

black bloomers

Warmup jacket

Warmup pants

Outdoor shoes

white bow

one blue - one white pom

 

Chances are it will be wet and cold on Saturday.  So, we are going to do our hair a little differently.  I want a slight bang poof, with your hair pulled back into a high messy bun like the one pictured below.  Hair spray, hair spray, hair spray!  Do what you need to do to ensure your hair will stay nice and polished throughout the entire parade.  If you cannot see your bun from the front, as shown below, it is not high enough.  I also want to be able to see your bow from the front.  Be sure to adjust your bow (starch it if you need to fluff it up a bit), so it can be seen from the front.  It should almost seem as though it's perched right on top of your head.

 

Makeup should be natural.  Lips natural or clear glossy.  Mascara and blush, please!

 

Wear your warmups over your uniform when you arrive.  We will have AT LEAST thirty minutes of waiting for the parade to start and it will be cold.  As soon as the parade begins, depending on weather, we may remove the warmup pants.  We'll play it by ear Saturday morning.  But, I just want everyone to come prepared.  Bring your cheer bags so you have a place to put your stuff.  Your bags can ride in the truck.

 

Make arrangements IN ADVANCE for your ride to pick you up at Holt Arena.
