Pom Count Hints

I will bring each of you a copy of the pom routine music to practice on Wednesday.  Please use these hint notes, along with the music, to practice and perfect the pom routine outside of cheer practice.

1-8 Count

1 cross over shoulders
& open onto shoulders
2 down on thighs
3 rippled one touchdown
4 ripple one low touchdown, fists on floor (ripple two touchdown)
5 ripple one holds, ripple two low touchdown, fists on floor, ripple three touchdown
6 ripple one holds, ripple two holds, ripple three low touchdown, fists on floor

1 chug and (step to the right)
2 chug and (step together)

1 ripple one: step out with left foot, clasp diagonally high
2 ripple one: opens to the back, high V.(ripple two starts)
3 ripple one: step out with left foot, break to buckets. (rippled three starts)
4 ripple one: open to the front and hit a cheerio (ripple two and three continue)
5 ripple one holds (ripple two and three continues)
6 ripple one and two hold (ripple three continues)
7 punch out to the right (feet pivot from right to left through this section)
8 break over to left hip, fists meet.


13-8 Counts
1 break to T
2 break to low touchdown
3 break to high touchdown
& daggers
4 high V
