Letter Sent Home - January 31

Dear Cheerleaders and Parents,

After a lot of practice and hard work, competition season is finally here and we are ready!  This Saturday is the Cupid’s Cheer Challenge at Highland High School.  Included in this letter, you will find everything you need to know to prepare for this weekend’s big event.

A big thanks to Lacey’s parents for letting us use their property to prep for competition.  You will all meet at 417 Fairway Drive at 5:45 AM.  There, mothers will help do hair and makeup so you all look uniform.  I will send the competition makeup home with Jill, which includes eye shadow glue and blue eye glitter.  You will pair that with black eyeliner, bronzer, blush, and red lips. Arrive to hair and makeup wearing:
·
        Your new uniform
·         Blue Sleeves
·         Blue sparkle briefs
·         Blue cheer trim ankle socks
·         Blue sparkle bow on your wrist

Before leaving your house Saturday morning, double check that your cheer bag has been packed with the following items:

·         Pink competition shirt
·         Sweatsuits
·         Poms
·         Mascara
·         Black eyeliner
·         A ponytail holder
·         Bobbypins
·         Snacks or money to purchase food

Everyone will leave together from the Fairway address and meet in the cafeteria at 6:45 AM.  I will be there waiting for you.  The day’s schedule will go as follows:

6:45 – Team Registration
7:15 – Coaches Meeting
8:00 – Competition Begins
8:28 – Our Warm-up Time
8:55 – We Perform
11:55 – Stunt Group Competes
1:30 - Awards

This is the first time in many years that Highland has hosted a cheer competition.  So, I am not sure which direction the girls will be facing.  If parents would like to coordinate a meeting place so you can sit together, that would be fantastic!  Please yell with us!  Tickets for adults are $6, kids are $4, and children under 5 are free.  As always, if you have any questions, please call me at 241-7289.  I will also have my phone with me all morning on Saturday. So, if something comes up, call me!

Thank you everyone and JOB WELL DONE!

Emily
